Where is My Stimulus Check?

Many of our clients are understandly concerned that they haven't received their stimulus checks. We are here to help.

Are You Eligible?

Not all Americans are eligible for economic impact payments. You must have a valid Social Security number. In addition, if your income was too great, you do not qualify for a payment. If your income last year was greater than $99,000 as an individual or $198,000 if married filing jointly, then you are probably NOT eligible for a payment. If you are eligible, and you haven't received payment, you should check the status of your payment.

Check the Status of Your Payment

The IRS created an online tool that you can use to check the status of your payment. If they need more information from you, such as your bank account information, you can provide it here. Sadly, this tool doesn't work for everyone. Many people are receiving "Payment Status Not Available" messages. The most common reason for this is that they just haven't gotten to you yet. Processing 150 million payments is not easy.

The database is updated nightly, however. Feel free to check back on the status of your payment every morning.

Be Patient

It is frustrating to expect a check that has not arrived. This is a time of immense financial pressure. We feel the pressure too. We understand your frustration. Yet, there is no further action that we can take beyond waiting and checking the status of our payments.
